Getting Started

First Steps

Please call or email me to schedule a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation. During the consultation call, we will discuss what you are seeking therapy for and how I may be of assistance to you. You will have the opportunity to ask questions to determine if we are a good fit.  We will also discuss my services, availability, insurance coverage, and rates. Should you decide to proceed with therapy, you will be scheduled for a 60-minute initial virtual intake evaluation.

Once your initial appointment has been scheduled, the required paperwork will be sent to you electronically via a secure patient portal. The paperwork will include the treatment consent form, notice of privacy practices, a brief intake form, and a questionnaire about your specific symptoms. These will take about 10 to 20 minutes to complete. This is the final step before starting therapy.

Appointments are scheduled Monday through Saturday. 

Rates & Insurance

I accept various insurances on an out-of-network basis, including Beacon Health Options, Blue Cross Blue Shield, NY Empire Plan, Optum, United Healthcare, Oxford, Oscar Health, Cigna, and Aetna. Please contact me with your insurance information so that I can verify your benefits and let you know if you are covered to work with me. Our office submits all out-of-network insurance claims. 

You may contact me to discuss self-pay rates, as they vary depending on the format of therapy (e.g., individual, couples, or family therapy), as well as the length of sessions (e.g., 45, 60, or 90 minutes).

Please note that you are expected to provide payment at the time that services are rendered. All major credit cards are accepted, including any health savings account (HSA). Payment is processed through Stripe, which is built into our secure patient portal.
